Photo Friday: A Winter Dream

View from Sea Life Park on Oahu

Last week as we drove to school, Everest piped up in the back seat "Rain, Rain, Rain, mommy I'm tired of rain when will it be summertime?" Not for for a while, I said, but we do have spring break coming up, where would you like to go? That's when Darya volunteered "Mommy, let's go to Hawaii, it's always sunny and warm there." Should I be worried that my 4 year old already has her next vacation destination picked out? Perhaps... but instead I'll just revisit the pictures from our summer vacation and hope that they temporarily lift me out of the dull gray haze of Seattle's winter weather.

  • Post a travel photo on your site. It can be about any topic, as long as it is G-rated.
  • The focus of the post should be on your photo.
  • You don't need to be a professional photographer (I'm not), but do showcase your best work, and make it big enough to see well!
  • It's nice to include a few sentences about the photo, but it is not required.
  • Link back here so that your readers can see all the other great Photo Friday posts.

Beautiful photo! I'm still suffering from post-vacation depression after my family's trip to Maui...and that was over a year ago!

We were over on that side of Oahu a couple weeks ago and Rabbit Island is all green now from all the rain we had in December. Neat to see it green since it's more often brown like in your picture. Hope you get to travel this way again sooner than later.

I've got to get myself to Hawaii one of these days! We've had so many snow days and delayed openings in the past few weeks and have more to come. Definitely feel your pain.

I love that Darya already knows her stuff, and it sounds like a pretty good idea to me!

Oops--sorry for the repeat links! It was working weird for me earlier.

This photo makes me super excited for my own trip to Hawaii in April...we just booked our tickets and will be on the Big Island for six days, then Oahu for five!

        Delicious Baby:

I work with New Year Publishing, a small company who has published three
children's books written by a now 11 year old author about her experience with the birth of her twin sisters. She's now working on travel books with lush illustrations and little vignettes about her experiences with her mom and dad in different cities.

The newest release takes place in San Francisco!

"I'm Having Twins" and "My Twins are Coming Home" have been best sellers on
Amazon and we just released "My Twins' First Birthday."

You can learn more about this amazing young author, Paris Morris, and her books
        at www.myfriendparis.com

We will be happy to send you a copy if you'd like to review it!

        Thank you very much,
