Photo Friday: Dress-Up

Somewhere amongst our souvenirs is a posed family portrait of us dressed up in traditional Turkish clothing. E refused to participate (he doesn't like dressup), Eilan was scared of the headgear and cried through the whole thing, and D refused to sit the way the photographer wanted to pose her. You know what I love more? This shot. My husband snapped it as D was getting dressed - and her glee is the reason we decided to take the family portrait in the first place.

We love dressing up in our family! I think it really helps small children to join in with activities. So when we visit palace or castles, the children often wear their knight outfits and if we're visiting a ship, pirate outfits. You get the idea!

Very cute! Love that you guys took the time to get some formal family shots and I also love that your husband captured her in this moment of joy.

My daughter was prancing around the house today in the fancy shoes and headdress we bought for her in Turkey...with her puffy Snow White dress...gotta love dress up!

I love traditional clothing. Wouldn't it be fun if we all had a nice collection in the dress up stash from places we've visited?
