Mirror in Topkapi Palace harem, Istanbul

I love mirror photos, but so rarely remember to take them. In this one, you can spot Me, D (in the stroller) and E (twice!). This beautiful old mirror in graced the entrance to the Harem in Istanbul's Topkapi Palace.

I'm loving your pictures from this trip - it looks like it was such a fun time. I'm curious to know how you decided to visit Turkey with the kids - certainly not a place I'd thought of before (although I am now).

@Mara Thanks! It was a GREAT time. Turkey has been on our "bucket list" for a long time, and it seemed like a good choice for spring break because the weather is pleasant then. I'm in the habit of booking the tickets & THEN finding out what there is to do with kids at the destination - so far it's worked out every time. As it turns out, we had so much fun, that we didn't even make it to some of the "kid focused" attractions that we were saving for when the kids got burnt out on the real stuff...

What better kid-friendly destination than a palace? Thanks for getting Turkey on the family travel map!
